“The need for kai in our organisation is ever increasing along with the cost of living. Kaibosh helps consistently with vulnerable people and their tamariki.”

- Birthright Hutt Valley

Second Harvest

Have you wondered about the food that’s good enough to eat but doesn’t make it from farm to table? A lot of good kai grown and nurtured by local growers and farmers won’t make it to market. We’re collaborating with local growers to rescue kai with our Second Harvest project.

“Growing, preparing and eating food together is so empowering for a community. We’d love for things to get to a point where the system doesn’t create food waste and those needing fresh food can get it.”

- Ange Holtslag, Kaibosh Kitchen Pito-one

“Volunteering with Kaibosh was a fantastic team building opportunity for our staff. It allowed them to understand firsthand the real impact of Kaibosh’s mahi and see how small efforts can make a big difference. Working together to rescue food that would have otherwise gone to waste was incredibly rewarding – and a solid workout too!”

- Phoebe, Rutherford & Bond Toyota
